To our GSD Parents, Staff, and Community Members:
Construction continues to move forward as part of the 2023 Bond Program, with several major projects now complete across the district. Recent improvements include the renovation of the Carlson High School auditorium and exterior façade; classroom, parking lot, entrance, and playground improvements at Rockwood Early Learning Center; heating, casework, and playground improvements at Parsons Elementary; and new playground equipment at Hunter Elementary. These projects join previously completed work, including roofing at Carlson High School and Shumate Middle School, the Carlson tennis courts, and the Hunter Elementary addition and renovations. Construction is now underway on the new classroom and gym addition at Parsons Elementary, scheduled to open in Fall 2027.
