Dear GSD Families,

It is with great pride and continued enthusiasm that I welcome you to Lakeshore Virtual! Now in my eighth year as Principal of Lakeshore Virtual and Assistant Principal of Virtual Learning at Carlson High School, I am honored to lead a team committed to providing flexible, personalized, and high-quality learning experiences for all students. Working alongside CHS adminstration and our dedicated staff, I remain focused on supporting student success in a dynamic virtual environment.

As a first-generation college graduate, the value of education and lifelong learning has always guided my journey. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Chemistry and a Master of Science in Science Education from the University of Michigan–Dearborn, along with a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Madonna University.

Prior to my work in administration, I spent 15 years teaching and coaching at Riverview Community High School, where I taught a variety of math and chemistry courses. I also held several leadership roles, including Science PLC Liaison, Blended Learning Committee Leader, and Summer Enrichment Program Administrator. In addition, I had the privilege of serving as a lecturer at U of M–Dearborn for five years, preparing future science educators.

These experiences have shaped my commitment to fostering student-centered learning environments grounded in academic rigor, innovation, and meaningful support. I am dedicated to maintaining the strong traditions of both Lakeshore Virtual and CHS while continuously evolving to meet the needs of today’s learners. I also believe strongly in the power of collaboration—your feedback, ideas, and involvement are essential as we prepare students for success in their future endeavors.

I look forward to the year ahead and the many opportunities we will have to grow and succeed together.
