Court To School
We hosted Court to School in the Carlson Auditorium today. Judge McNally presided over three cases. Our 7th and 8th grade students learned so much from the experience. A huge thank you to Judge McNally!

On Friday we had our annual Pi Day competition! Students competed to see who could remember the most digits of Pi, and our winner took the crown by correctly reciting an incredible 414 digits. Congratulations to all who participated and helped make Pi Day a fun celebration of math!

Last Friday, our students gathered for a PBIS assembly to celebrate positive behavior and kick off the new school year on the right track! We recognized students for making safe, respectful, and responsible choices, played some fun games, and reminded everyone what it means to be part of our school community!

Please join us for Open House! This is a great opportunity for both students and families to meet our teachers and get familiar with the classrooms.

A - G: 5:30 - 6:00 PM
H - P: 6:00 - 6:30 PM
Q - Z: 6:30 - 7:00 PM

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) applications are open for all current 7th Graders, the deadline for applications is Wednesday, April 30th. The Book Fair is in full swing! But, we still have two days left for your students to shop with their ELA classes. Make up day will take place Thursday during 1,2 & 3 hours. The Scholastic book fair is happening at SMS next week 4/7 - 4/9 with makeups on 4/10. All students will have the opportunity to shop with their ELA class during the time slot their teacher signed up for. ... Here are some important points to remember: - All items will have sales tax added to them so please be sure your child has enough money to cover tax too. - You can set up an E-wallet easily online through the link below so that you do not have to send any other form of payment. This is a fast & easy option. If you chose to use this option please list your child's ELA teacher in the appropriate field. Important Athletics Update Today's 7th and 8th Grade Girl's Basketball game against Allen Park has been cancelled. There is no rescheduled date at this time, but the game will be rescheduled if possible.

Due to the potential of icy road conditions, Gibraltar School District will be closed on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Stay safe out there!
