Ahoy Mateys! Happy National Talk Like a Pirate Day! Our Pirates were great learners and no one had to walk the plank! Yo-ho-ho!

As everyone knows, we are trying to improve our attendance at Parsons and across the district. Today, we popped in classes that had 100% attendance. Students in Mrs. Bannon, Mrs. Pendergast, Mrs. Krause, Mrs. Smithson, and Ms. Trupiano got to have a 30 second dance party! They loved the surprise and we love they are in school! Remember 9 days or less for school success!

We didn't take enough photos but here are some pictures from Constitution Day! Every class learned about the Constitution of the United States of America .

We had so much fun welcoming our Pirates back to school! Students were excited and ready to go!

Welcome Back Pirates!

We had an awesome Open House at Parsons and we cannot wait to see all of those smiling faces tomorrow, September 3, 2024 for our first day of school!

Parsons Art Club is Out of This World! A big thank you to Ms Fairris for taking on the role of Art Club chair this year. Ms Fairris is a very talented artist herself and it was awesome that she stepped up to share her creativity with our students. Also, a big thank you to Tina Revoir for being her trusty sidekick so our students could have the best experience possible. What an awesome Art Show tonight!

Thank you to all of the parents who helped volunteer and especially Bike to School coordinator, Jenny Wilhelm. We had a fun and healthy bike to school! Approximately 75 students participated.

Yesterday morning we had the great honor of having State Representative Jamie Churches here to present Ms. Fairris with an award for Teacher of the Month. Ms. Fairris was nominated by a parent for her unwavering dedication to her students and her ability to create such a kind and caring environment for learning. Great job Ms. Fairris!

Swim Night was a success! Thank you PTO!

Thank you to everyone for making our 2024 Kindergarten Round Up a success! We loved inviting our kindergarteners to Camp Kindergarten. Welcome class of 2037!

We had so much fun at our Town Hall on Friday! First, we revealed our Masked Readers! Then, our top earners from our Kids Heart Challenge had the opportunity to silly string staff! There were many giggles, lots of excitement, and plenty of cheering! Best of all we raised thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association.

Wow! Parsons Drama Club was outstanding tonight in Alice in Wonderland. A big thank you to the directors, Mrs. Bloomfield, Mrs. Claus, and Mrs. Linge. Our actors should be super proud of themselves for their hard work and their courage to perform. Great job Pirates!

On Monday, several of our leaders were able to participate in the All District Student Council meeting at Carlson. It was great for elementary through high school students to get together and share ideas of how to improve and support our district. Go GSD!

We celebrated out Students of the Month last week at Town Hall. Also, our PBIS grade level winners got to help deliver treats from the care cart to our staff. Everyone was all smiles!

Mykah won the Kids Heart Challenge and got to serve as Principal of the Day. Mykah did such a great job. She helped me with teacher observations, gave out Pirate Grams to students in class, worked in the lunchroom, and helped with our tornado drill. Thank you Principal Mykah!

More pictures from Bingo for Books! We must have given out over 400 books! Happy Reading Pirates!

Our Grandparent's Breakfast was a huge success. Thank you to all of the grandparents who attended, the volunteers, and our PTO event organizer Erica Green.

We had so much fun celebrating Valentine's Day! Don't forget to send a Parsons staff member a shout out to share how much you love them!
