📘✨ Nonfiction Summer Spotlight!
Looking for fun, educational summer activities? ReadWorks offers free, self‑printed nonfiction reading packets for grades 1–8.
Research shows that high‑interest nonfiction and short daily reading (10–15 minutes!) help kids build knowledge, expand vocabulary, and maintain reading skills over break.
Parents, here’s how to make it work:
1. Pick a packet or workbook based on your child’s grade level.
2. Read together or let them explore independently - either way, just a few pages a day go a long way.
3. Talk about it! Ask, “What new fact did you learn today?” to boost comprehension and connection.

Did you know that reading just 20 minutes a day over the summer can help students maintain—and even boost—their literacy skills? 📖✨ Summer reading helps kids grow their vocabulary, expand their imaginations, and return to school ready to soar! Here are a few fun ways to encourage summer reading: ✅ Let kids choose their own books ✅ Visit the public library together (view the photo below!) ✅ Start a family reading challenge ✅ Read outside under a shady tree or at the beach! Let’s keep those young minds active all summer long! 📚💡 Happy reading, Chargers! 💙💛

📱☀️ Research shows that too much screen time can negatively impact focus, sleep, and social development. Let’s help our kids stay active, curious, and connected (to more than just Wi-Fi) this summer! 🌳📚

Throwback to May 2nd's Watch D.O.G.S. We inadvertently missed posting our wonderful Watch D.O.G.S. that day. Thank you to Mr. Huyck and Mr. Shaffer for spending time with our students! We appreciate you!

Fourth Grade Wax Museum Success!
Today, our amazing fourth graders brought history to life at their annual Wax Museum! Each student portrayed a notable figure from American history, complete with costumes, posters, and speeches that shared fun facts and important contributions. Thank you to all the families and visitors who attended and supported our young historians—it was a memorable day of learning and creativity!

Today, our third and fourth graders came together for a special meet-up! The fourth graders shared their experiences and gave the third graders a sneak peek into what to expect next year—from exciting projects to new responsibilities. It was a great moment of connection, encouragement, and curiosity as the younger students got a glimpse of what lies ahead in fourth grade!

Our amazing Charge Up Crew planned an appreciation breakfast for staff!! Their creativity, leadership, and initiative truly shined through here (and all year)! Thank you to our PTO for funding this event for the Crew to host.

Thank you so much to our Watch D.O.G.S today. Mr. Sarkozi we appreciate you spending the day with us.
