Being the leader of a school that has a strong sense of community, a history rich in traditions, and an absolute commitment to expanding opportunities for students is a true honor – one that I hold very dear. My background includes 20 years of educational experience in both the secondary and collegiate settings with a specific concentration in English and mathematics. I have 11 years of experience as an administrator and have served at both the middle and high school levels. Perhaps what my experience has taught me most is that what happens in the classroom is more important than we ever believed and that a partnership with parents and the community provides a critical component in all students’ education.

I am blessed to work with amazing students, staff, and parents in what is truly the best kept secret around. In continuing to work together, I am confident that we will be able to provide our students with a truly challenging and enriching high school experience, one that creates opportunity for students beyond their imagination. Together, we will help Carlson continue reach new heights!

As Principal, my door is always open. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best year yet!

Sincerely,

Jessica Shultz

I am extremely excited about joining the Marauder family! The reputation of the Gibraltar School District and Community is one that my family and I are eager to serve. My background includes 11.5 years as a HS and MS English teacher and 5.5 years as an administrator at the elementary, middle, and secondary levels.

I am a first generation college graduate who has a passion for public education and the role education plays in future opportunities for all students. I attended Adrian College for my undergraduate studies and Ball State University for my graduate studies.

Innovation, engagement in the learning process, and developing positive relationships drive my educational philosophy.

Please know that my door is always open. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to develop strong educational opportunities for our students.

Sincerely,

Matt Moll

I am excited to write this letter of introduction to you as the Athletic Director/Assistant Principal at Carlson High School. I am ecstatic to be a part of the rich traditions and strong community bonds that make Gibraltar School District great. I am confident in my ability to assist our administration, board, teachers and community members in furthering the excellent history of Carlson High School in both athletics and academics. Together, our team is poised for greatness.

I began at Carlson in August 2016 after serving New Boston Huron since 2004 as a teacher and the head football coach. Over the years I served students by coaching many other sports including both boys and girls as well as high school and middle school levels. After getting a master’s degree in teaching from Marygrove, I received my post-master’s administrative certificate from Eastern Michigan University where I also completed my bachelor’s degree. I believe building strong relationships with all stakeholders in the school community is essential to great leadership, and I am excited to continue to build those relationships with each and every Marauder.

As a school leader, my door is always open. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help build on the the tradition of Marauder pride!

Sincerely,
Assistant Principal/Athletic Director
