Monday, 4th grade students at Weiss Elementary had the exciting opportunity to participate in an interactive presentation hosted by DTE Energy. The session focused on different types of energy and the importance of energy conservation. Students actively engaged in demonstrations illustrating energy cycles and the function of closed circuits, making complex topics come to life.
In addition to the hands-on learning experience, DTE generously provided each 4th grader with a free energy kit. These kits include various energy-efficient products designed to help students and their families install and practice energy-saving measures at home.
"We are incredibly thankful to DTE for spending the day with our students," said Mr. Bezeau, Weiss Elementary Principal. "Their generosity and commitment to education gave our 4th graders a meaningful experience that not only supports their learning but also empowers them to make a positive impact on their environment."
Thanks to DTE’s visit, students left the presentation with a better understanding of energy conservation and the tools to make their homes more energy efficient.
