Excited 5th graders got to the school early in the morning with sleeping bags, pillows, and suitcases ready for their 5th Grade Camp Experience. Students were able to experience three days at Camp Michindoh with their teachers, Joel Putek and Brendan Cornett. Gold Rush was definitely a group favorite! Fifth Grader, Fiona Morgan, said her favorite part was the rock wall because "it challenged me to go higher than I thought I could and made me more confident." For 5th grader, Gabe Marzouq, he enjoyed the archery and almost had a bullseye! Camp left students with memories they will never forget! Best of luck at Shumate! Once a Pirate, Always a Pirate!
