Meet the Principal
Dear Hunter Families,
Whether this will be your first year at Hunter Elementary or you are returning to our school community, the staff and myself would like to extend our warmest welcome. I could not be more excited to be working alongside Hunter's amazing staff and wonderful families.
My name is Jenna Mullins. Hunter is a great place to grow and learn. I studied at both Spring Arbor University (Bachelor’s Degree) and Michigan State University (Master’s Degree). During my educational career, I have served, as in educator, in multiple roles including classroom teacher, Intervention Specialist, Elementary Principal and Executive Director of School Improvement.
Our teachers care deeply about our students and are continuously searching for better ways to engage students and help them learn. Our Hunter Staff is committed to creating a nurturing, yet rigorous learning environment for our students. Hunter Elementary fully implements a solid core curriculum. Hunter teachers continue to play an instrumental role in the ongoing planning and implementation of our curriculum, instruction and intervention across all grade levels.
Parents receive information about our school in numerous ways. Upcoming events and pertinent information are included in a weekly email newsletter: Hunter Headlines from Principal Mullins. This newsletter is emailed out on Friday evenings. Parents may also learn about our school through this website or by following us on Twitter and Facebook. Teachers at Hunter also provide classroom newsletters/emails, containing more specific information to their classroom, as well as class website and Twitter accounts.
As the Principal of your child’s school you can count on me.
Count on me to be caring and positive in my work with all students.
Count on me to demonstrate my belief that all students can learn.
Count on me to listen carefully to concerns, questions and praise.
Count on me to communicate information about our school consistently.
Count on me to be available for scheduled appointments and meetings.
Count on me to return emails and phone calls in 24 hours or the next school day.
Count on me to support teachers in their quest to continuously improve and review instructional practices to ensure high levels of learning for all students.
If you have any questions about our school, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached by phone (734-379-6390) or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). With genuine, open collaboration, Hunter Elementary will continue to provide the highest quality education to our students.
