Meet the Principal
I am so honored to be a part of the Chapman Elementary family. As the principal, I am excited to continue the high standards and expectations that are already instilled in this community. My background consists of a variety of teaching experience at multiple levels that will assist me in this transition. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis on English Language Arts. I earned my master’s degree from Madonna University in teaching, learning and curriculum and I completed my administrative certificate through Eastern Michigan University. The past two years, I have been lucky enough to have been able to serve many Downriver communities by being the principal of Downriver High School. This experience was extremely valuable in my growth as an educator, learner and leader.
On a personal note, I am the mother of three boys that are all very different from each other. My youngest, Jackson, is a sixth grader and is very social. His favorite activity is being on the radio, which he is very lucky to be able to do on a regular basis. Nicklas is a sophomore in high school and lives and breathes soccer! I have a step-son, Anthony, who just graduated from college with his pharmacy tech degree. I also have an adorable puppy named Maximus.
I am looking forward to this school year and being part of the learning and growth of all of the students at Chapman Elementary. I am so lucky to be part of an amazing staff that has the best interest of all students in mind. I encourage families to communicate with me and their teachers with any questions or concerns.
I look forward to working with you!
