#30 John Schreiber
2017 Inductee: #30 John Schreiber was a 3 year letterman 10-12. He compiled a 9-16 record on the mound, striking out 165 in 154.6 innings of work. He also had 46 career hits. John was the most improved player on the 2011 district championship team and won the title game. He was the 2012 mvp, all league and all district. John went on to pitch at Henry Ford CC where he struck out 22 in 29.1 innings. John transferred to University of Northwest Ohio as a sophomore. Over the next 3 years he became the closer and complied an 11-4 record with 24 saves. He struck out 116 over 97.2 innings of work He helped them win the WHAC in 2015 and John was academic all district. John earned NAIA All American honorable mention as a senior. John pitched for the Detroit RBI league in the summer of 2013. John also pitched summer ball for the Kalamazoo Growlers in the Northwoods league in 2014. He struck out 11 in 11 innings with 3 saves. In the summer of 2015, John threw for the Alaska Goldpanners. He struck out 19 in 24 innings with 5 saves. John became the first Carlson Marauder ever drafted in the 2016 MLB draft. The Detroit Tigers selected John in the 15th round with the 445th pick. John started with the Connecticut Tigers Short A club where he appeared in 18 games throwing 29.1 innings. He went 2-3 with an ERA of 2.76 while striking out 24. John pitched for the West Michigan Whitecaps in 2017. He earned 12 saves and a 5-1 record. John struck out 76 with an ERA of 0.53 over 54 innings.
