Lego League

Third grade students at Parsons Elementary are participating in the "Creature Craze" Lego League challenge in their new STEM-tech class. Each time they meet with Ms. Scalise, the students collaborate in small teams and use their STEM skills to solve problems dealing with the "Creature Craze" topic of honeybees and their habitats, as well as other animals within the same habitat. Over the course of this challenge, students will be building models using Legos, researching scientific topics, and creating a wonderful final product to showcase all of their teamwork and collaborative learning. As the students begin this challenge, they start to think about where the project may take them. Each group will create a Lego model of the honeybee
and her hive to inspire them for the builds to come. Soon, the students will start to focus on their chosen animal and start to build creative and unique structures. They are looking forward to this exciting new venture and sharing their work with all of you!
