GTEK M3 Technology Academy

Gibraltar School District is pleased to announce that registration is currently open for their exciting new M3 Tech Academy Program that runs during late start Mondays. The Academy provides students in grades K-8 with an exciting variety technology courses including robotics, game design, photography, video production and so much more.

An Update from Shumate Student Council-

Remember the week of Dec.15th is Student Council’s Advisory Performance Competition, and Holiday extravaganza Assembly. We are asking students to bring in a canned good or $1 donation during their advisory to help Gibraltar’s Fill a Bus Campaign- donations will be collected and delivered Wednesday evening. Also we are pleased to announce that this Friday will also be a PJ spirit day! We will wear our most comfy PJ’s and watch all the advisory performances on Friday’s 1/2 day!

Updated Vaccinations required for 7th Graders to Attend School in 2014-2015

Immunizations are an important part of your child’s health and Michigan law requires that children going to school be vaccinated to help prevent certain vaccine-preventable diseases. As the district school nurses, we are writing to inform you that the Michigan State Public Health Department requires vaccination updates at age 11 years.

Schools of Choice

The School of Choice Program allows the enrollment of non-resident students that reside in Wayne County.  Enrollments for second trimester will be taken November 4, 2014 through November 27, 2014.  Mandatory documentation needed at the time of enrollment; Original Birth Certificate, Immunization Record,  3 Forms of Wayne County Residency Proof (utility, cable or phone bill, tax bill, lease, mortgage statement, insurance bill)  Secondary level students will also need a copy of their transcripts or last report card.  Special Education students will need a copy of their last IEP.
