Helpful Tips from your School Nurse

When to keep your student home

Give your kids a boost

Bus Information? Pick-up? Time?...this can be found at, then Click on Our District, Click on Bus Routes (located on Navigation Bar on left), Click on Bus Routes PDF file. Also have copies available in our office, office hours next week are Monday thru Wednesday 8am to 3:30pm.

Schedules? Changes in Schedules? Locker Assignment and Combination? Map?...All students will receive their new schedules, locker assignments and map during Advisory, 6th grade students will receive their information in cafeteria, as they report to cafeteria first thing on the 7th. Due to reduction in staff at SMS, schedules will not be changed unless there is an obvious error in student schedule. Many classes are at capacity and a few are over due to these changes in staff. Any and all changes must to addressed with Mr. Coon, Principal. Counselors have been instructed not to change any schedules as of August 30th.

Immunizations...6th grade students and students new to the district must have three new shots, they are; Tdap, Varicella, and Meningococcal. Students may bring these records to the office the first week of school.

Activity/Athletic Fee for $50. This is a one-time fee per school year if your child is involved in more than one activity or athletic team. Some clubs will have additional cost (ex. ski club and bowling club). Any student participating in a Fall sport must pay Activity Fee in full before they can participate in any game or contest with another district team. Please make check or money order (NO CASH) payable to GSD. Check or money order must be paid in SMS office.
