Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten Registration begins in each elementary building March 4, 2013. An appointment for kindergarten screening will be given when the child is registered.
Thursday, April 11, 2013, is Kindergarten Parent Night from 6:30-8:00p.m. at the Gibraltar School District Board Office, Vreeland and Allen Road Woodhaven.
Week of April 23 - 26, 2013, is Kindergarten Screening at the Gibraltar School District Board Office, Vreeland and Allen Road—by appointment only.

Updated Vaccinations required for 6th Graders to Attend School in 2012-2013
Immunizations are an important part of your child’s health and Michigan law requires that children going to school be vaccinated to help prevent certain vaccine-preventable diseases. As the district school nurses, we are writing to inform you that the Michigan State Public Health Department requires vaccination updates at age 11 years.

School Breakfast Information
School breakfast provides 1/4 of your child’s daily nutrition needs and research shows breakfast provides fuel for school and boosts brain power. Breakfast at school is affordable, too. It’s available for all students and if you qualify for free or reduced price lunch, you also qualify for the free or reduced price breakfast.

“Fourth grade students are growing a vegetable garden which includes, radishes, spinach, carrots, and cabbage. The students will be measuring and graphing their growth.”
**In third grade…the students are working their way to 100 AR points!! Wow! If you take a stroll through the hallway you will see the progress. In addition, they are working on mastering their math facts and will be participating in a math facts contest!
Green School
Mrs. Labutte leads our Green school committee which strives to create Greener & Healthier learning environments through education and awareness. The students are educated on energy and the importance of energy efficiency, recycling, endangered species and other safe environment issues. We hope to develop leaders with a passion for improving their school community through environmental service.
5TH GRADE Camp Tamarack
From May 22nd-25th the 5th grade will venture to Ortonville for a 4 day, 3 night stay at FANTASTIC Camp Tamarack. While at camp, students will cook over a fire, climb a rock wall,play nature games and numerous other activities. The students have been fundraising and looking forward to this all year. It is sure to be a great time.

Daily Schedule
School starts at 8:55am and dismisses at 3:50pm. On a half-day, school will be dismissed at 12:02pm.
