About the Pep Club

The Club:

The Pep Club is designed to be an active, supportive group for all activities at Carlson High School. Our main focus will be to support our athletes and to encourage school spirit into our school.  The most important activity is attending school functions, but as a Pep Club member you will also make signs for players, decorate the school, sell Marauder spirit merchandise and help host events.  As a member of Pep Club, you will be asked to put in a valuable effort, but one that will be greatly rewarded and appreciated. 

The Club fee will be $3.00

Ideas for Activities:

*Signs:  As a group, we will decide how and when to celebrate upcoming sporting events or sports teams. When signs are decided, they will be made at Pep Club meetings or at your home.  The signs will be hung in the school so that we may cheer on the athletes as well as inform the students of their upcoming events. 

*Spirit Merchandise:  For home sporting events we will sell spirit merchandise to the fans.  This will serve as a fundraiser for the club.  We will need volunteers to work the booths at these events.  **To be determined.

*Tailgate:  For the Homecoming game, Pep Club will host a tailgate.  We will need every member to help at this event.  We will meet before the game begin and offer beverages, food and merchandise to parents and students.  This is a great opportunity to get students to the game.

*Turkey Bowl: The Turkey Bowl is a touch football game played around Thanksgiving.  There will only be two teams so students have to sign up to participate.  The teams are comprised of all grades and both genders.  This generally is weather permitting because it takes place in late November.  **To be determined.

I am always open to ideas.  If you have any suggestions or ideas please feel free to bring them up at the meetings.
