About Gibraltar

Amy Conway, Superintendent

Welcome to the Gibraltar School District! Gibraltar Schools offer many opportunities for your child to learn and grow! As the Superintendent, I am so proud of our district and what we provide to our students and our community. Although Gibraltar is a suburb in a large metropolitan area, we offer a small town feel and focus on individualized instruction for our students. We offer many courses and programs that provide enrichment and intervention helping all of our students reach their fullest potential. Our teachers and staff strive to make every student feel supported and offer a nurturing environment where students can take their learning to the next level.

When it comes to educating students, Gibraltar strives to provide opportunities to meet the vast variety of interests that make each child unique. We have become the leader in the Downriver area in STEM innovation with Downriver STEM @ Weiss Elementary, district-wide one-to-one classrooms in grades 5th and 6th, district-wide Robotics programs, technology labs, WeatherSTEM, and new AP Computer Science course available Fall of 2017 at Carlson High School. Additionally, we are among the first in the area to offer college courses on our campus through Monroe Community College, complementing our rich course offerings including Advanced Placement. We also offer students Career and Technical Education courses through partnership with the Downriver Career Technical Consortium - many that issue certificates and develop skills that will transfer immediately in the workforce. Through our ever-expanding options, we hope that each child will feel what we feel - they are at home in Gibraltar.

I invite you to visit our website, watch the videos and tour our schools to experience the Gibraltar difference.
